A native New Yorker Michael Moody has studied with today’s leaders of jazz music, including NEA Jazz Master Barry Harris, soprano saxophonist Sam Newsome, vocalist Roberta Gambarini, Marion Cowings, and free jazz vocalist Jay Clayton. Legendary Bebop singer Sheila Jordan once told Moody “You got soul baby”. Michael has performed on stage with Sheila Jordan, Cameron Brown, John Patitucci, Franciso Mela, Dave Colding, and Randy Brecker.
Friday, April 12 starting at 8 pm. Michael will be celebrating his birthday in the cupping room, with some very special guests singers. Won’t you Join him along with Pianist Takaaki Otomo and Bassist Steve Wood for a night of great live music.
